Trendline
Also called: trend line, channel, trend channel
A straight line joining rising swing lows in an uptrend or falling swing highs in a downtrend; a parallel line through the opposite swings forms a channel.
Trendlines are subjective: the swings chosen, wicks or closes, timeframe and linear or log scale all change the line. A break shows the recent path has changed; it does not by itself predict a reversal.
