Trading journal
Also called: trade journal, trading log
A record of each analysis and decision written before the outcome is known, with results filled in afterwards.
A journal records the checklist, observations, hypotheses, decisions and later outcomes, including costs. It is the only honest record of how well a method works, and it guards against hindsight bias.
