Earnings call
Also called: conference call, concall, earnings conference call, management guidance
A call held after results, in which management presents the results and answers analysts' questions.
Comments on demand, costs and plans, and how management handles difficult questions, can matter more than the quarter's numbers. Recordings and transcripts are often published on the company's website and the exchanges, making it possible to compare what management says over time.
