Recurring revenue
Also called: repeat revenue, annuity revenue
Revenue earned again and again from the same customers, such as subscriptions, maintenance contracts or consumables, rather than from one-off sales.
Recurring revenue is usually more predictable than one-off revenue, because most of next year's customers are already this year's. It is only as durable as customers' willingness to keep paying, so renewal and cancellation rates matter.
