Call option
Also called: call, calls, call options
A contract giving the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy the underlying at the strike price.
The buyer pays a premium and can lose all of it if the option expires out of the money. The seller receives the premium and takes on the obligation to sell, with losses that grow without a fixed limit as the price rises.
